New version of the Rich Text Editor

Our Content Management System has been updated over the last few days with a new version of its Rich Text Editor. The update is automatic and free and is now available to all the websites created with UGAL.
Compatible with the latest web browsers
Since we last updated the Rich Text Editor, web browser have changed: Firefox version 3 shipped, Safari, Internet Explorer and Opera saw upgrades as well. While those evolutions have no impact for the visitors of websites created with UGAL, some of the functionalities of the Rich Text Editor were not 100% compatible with the new web browsers. Not the case anymore!
New functionalities

Images. Images can now be set to float around either side of your content, or you can use the align icons (left, center, right) to display them as a block of content. On top of the .gif and .jpg image formats, .png images can now be uploaded as well. |

Videos. The interface has been improved, and you can embed videos from YouTube or DailyMotion with a simple copy/paste of the embed code given by the video provider. |

Maps. You can now embed maps covering a broad list of countries (around 60, from Albania to Uruguay) and can choose the zoom level (from "Country" to "Building") for the map. |

Flash Movies. A number of our customers requested the option to easily embed Flash movies in their pages without having to monkey with obscure HTML code. The litlle Flash icon allows to do just that, and you can embed a movie hosted either in your Filestore or anywhere on the internet. |

Flickr Slideshows. If you use Flickr to manage and store your photos online, you can embed a slideshow by tagging your photos in Flickr and entering the tag name and your username directly in the Rich Text Editor. |
The media management functionalities above have been developped by UGAL (we believe to be the only Content Management System to offer such a broad and user friendly media support), and the core of the Rich Text Editor is still tinyMCE, an excellent open source solution.
Happy Text Editing!
