Multiple emails for your website

April 5, 2011

Jean

Up until now, all emails sent from your website were going to the website owner (the email used when the site was created). While simple, it has started to become a limitation for many websites, so we are introducing the ability to specify which email to use for the different pages of your website.

When you edit the properties of the page, there is now the option to overwrite the website email address for that page:

Website email address

The pages that send out emails use by default the website email address. To change your website email address, go to the "Settings" tab and click the "Name, email and description link". You can enter a single email, or a list of emails separated by commas if you want more than one person to receive the email notifications.

Per page email address

For the pages that should use a different email address, you can overwrite the website email address by going to the "Page Properties" and enter the address to use. Separate emails by commas if you want multiple recipients to receive the emails.

The email address is customizable for all the pages that can send out notifications:

  • Contact pages
  • News pages (for comment notifications)
  • Newsletters (subscribe and unsubscribe notifications)
  • Product catalogs (for product information requests)
  • Forums (new threads and comment notifications)
  • Shopping carts (order confirmations)
  • Donation pages (donation notifications and email receipts)

Contact UGAL with any question or if something does not work as expected!
